Dear Abby,

Manatees! We combined two of the national days. We walked around a marine aquatic animals park and visited the manatees. I stood next to the underwater view pool to talk to the manatees. My mom sat at the benches loving the coolness of the shade. As long as I stayed where she could see me it was fine. I had one that seemed to share her story, it was feeding time so she had a lettuce leaf hanging out her mouth. She felt curious and kept swimming at the glass to look at me. I knew she could hear my thoughts not my voice because the glass was too thick.
