When it was first released, it was popular. The radio stations in San Diego aired it frequently. As a teen, I found it a little hard to follow. Mostly because I did not know the cultural context of half of the terms he used. Of course, the one’s we knew, my friends and I would sing those words. The lyrics are basically a list of current events, famous people and political atrocities that occurred in the artist’s lifetime.
