1911

In 1911, he commanded the Shoshone a Wooden Steam Schooner.

In an article in The Oregon Daily Journal on December 12, 1911 it states that: Laden with 650,000 feet of lumber the steamer Shoshone, Captain Foldat, cleared at the custom house yesterday afternoon for San Pedro.

1913

In 1913, he commanded the Multnomah a Wooden Steam Schooner.

In an article in The Oregon Daily Journal on November 24, 1913 it states that: Laden with 400 tons of cement and grit, 43 passengers, the steamer Multunomah, Captain Foldat, arrived at Supply dock from San Francisco at o’clock last night. She will load a cargo of lumber at the Inminisen mills and finish at St. Helens San Francisco.
