As I read through these old newspapers, I am reminded of the language of the 19th Century. As I edit and correct the articles I cut and paste from the OCR text of these great first hand accounts from interviews of the people from that era. More words were used to convey thoughts while one showed one’s intellectual level and life experience. All in the words they chose.
